The Minerals: Crystals and Gemstones

It is the earth’s precious stones

The Minerals

‘Expect great changes when you invite crystals and gems into your life’

A mineral in which the systematic internal arrangement of atoms is outwardly reflected as a latticework of repeated three- dimensional units that form a geometric solid with a surface consisting of symmetrical planes.

Crystals: In chemistry and mineralogy, a crystal is a solid in which the constituent atoms, molecules, or ions are packed in a regularly ordered, repeating pattern extending in all three spatial dimensions. The word crystal originates from the Greek word "Krystallos" meaning clear ice, as it was thought to be an especially solid form of water. The word once referred particularly to quartz, or "rock crystal". Most metals encountered in everyday life are polycrystals. Crystals are often symmetrically intergrown to form crystal twins.

Gemstone: A gemstone or gem, also called a precious or semi-precious stone, is a piece of attractive mineral, which - when cut and polished - is used to make jewelry or other adornments. However certain rocks, (such as lapis-lazuli) and organic materials (such as amber or jet) are not minerals, but are still used for jewelry, and are therefore often considered to be gemstones as well. Most gemstones are hard, but some soft minerals are used in jewelry because of their lustre or other physical properties that have aesthetic value. Rarity is another characteristic that lends value to a gemstone

The beauty and power of crystals and other stones have long been recognized, from the ancient times of Tutankhamen to the modern masterpieces of Cartier and Faberge. They have always been prized for their beauty and their healing and spiritual properties.

Crystals come in a wide variety of sizes, shapes and colors. Their matrixes follow the patterning of Sacred Geometry. All crystal and gemstones are living organisms. Crystals have life energy of their own. They are living in some manner of the word as they slowly grow in clusters. They are part of the Mineral Kingdom. Most are grown in nature. Some that is synthetically produced. Many crystals have healing properties that you can discover. Crystals vibrate to at different frequencies to enhance healing.
